Organization of Nurse Leaders (ONL) 2025 Annual Meeting – MA, RI, NH, CT & VT

ONL’s 2025 Annual Meeting is a dynamic, interactive conference where nurse leaders can share ideas and strategies for meeting today’s challenges and leading for tomorrow. It offers an unparalleled opportunity for nurse leaders at all levels to connect, collaborate, and learn. Lisa Summers will close the conference with a presentation titled “Nursing is Political: How Nurse Leaders Can and Should Engage. ” In it, she will discuss the unique skills and perspectives nurse leaders can (& should) share with Boards and elected officials. Lisa will share how nurse leaders can intentionally build relationships within organizations, with community leaders, and with legislators, and will speak to the need for more nurse leaders in elected office. Participants will learn how to elevate and amplify their voice and impact through increased civic engagement and what they can do to increase the representation of nurses in elected office. ONL is the Organization of Nurse Leaders for Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Vermont. They are a chapter affiliate of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL).

The National Nurse Practitioner Entrepreneur Network’s (NNPEN) annual conference provides time to focus on building a critical mass of NP entrepreneurs who are not only hard-wired to the nursing model but also commit more broadly to the strategic visioning it demands. Kimberly will wrap up the conference by inspiring attendees to use their voices (and build their practices) to shape the future of the profession. Whether we recognize it or not, nursing is political. The good news is that nurse practitioners already have everything they need to have their voices heard inside and outside the political arena, impacting the profession and improving the healthcare system for their patients.
