Maine State Senator, District 30 (2020–present) Senator Stacy Brenner brings a distinctive combination of healthcare, agricultural, and small-business experience to the Maine Legislature. A certified nurse-midwife, she earned two nursing degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and began her career at Mercy Hospital in Portland. She later pursued her interest in agriculture, earning a degree in plant sciences from the University of Arizona. In 2002, Senator Brenner and her family moved to Maine to become first-generation farmers. Four years later, she and her husband opened Broadturn Farm, where they grow organic vegetables and cut flowers and host weddings and community events.
