Healing Politics is thrilled to announce our 2026 Campaign School for Nurses & Midwives, taking place July 30 – August 2 in Durham, North Carolina.
Hosted by Polis: Center for Politics at Duke University, this 3-day immersive and inspiring training experience is designed for nurses and midwives who are ready to explore running for elected office, working on a campaign, or managing one.
The program kicks off with a welcome and networking reception on Thursday evening and ends Sunday afternoon. All meals are included in the cost except for dinner on Friday.
Applications
Applications are now open. Healing Politics seeks to build a diverse group representing geographic, political, racial, cultural, and socioeconomic diversity.
Attendance will be limited to 35 participants to allow practical, hands-on training and access to our expert faculty.
The 2025 Healing Politics Campaign School for Nurses & Midwives
Cost
Participation in the Campaign School requires a $1,195 financial commitment. To secure your spot, a $500 deposit is due within seven business days of your acceptance, and the remaining balance is due by June 30.
Claim Your Seat at the Table (refund policy)
Enrollment in the Healing Politics Campaign School is limited to 35 participants to ensure a personalized experience. A $500 deposit is required to secure your spot in the program.
If you cancel before July 1, your deposit is refundable, minus a $100 administrative fee. Due to financial commitments made to our venue and vendors, no refunds will be issued after July 1.
Agenda/Curriculum:
We’ll guide you every step of the way and offer support before and after the in-person Campaign School. While it is the centerpiece of our training program, it isn’t the entire program.
In the spring, we’ll host a virtual fundraising session to help you learn the basics and create a plan to raise funds for your tuition and travel expenses—if you choose to do so. You’ll leave with a clear, actionable plan.
Four to six weeks after the Campaign School, we’ll meet virtually for a follow-up session to address any questions that arise as you put your training into action. Whether you need to clarify a strategy or fine-tune your GOTV plan, we’ll be there to help!

Travel & Lodging
The JB Duke Hotel, just a short walk from the Sanford School of Public Policy, will serve as our on-site hotel partner for the Campaign School.
We’ve secured a block of rooms at $249/night plus taxes. Room block information is coming soon.

The Sanford School of Public Policy is located on Duke University’s West Campus, at the corner of Towerview Road and Science Drive. All Campaign School events will be held in the Sanford Building or at the JB Duke Hotel. The buildings are accessible, and accessible visitor parking is available.
